Peas Please

I do try to feed my kids healthy food, but I admit that I have run out of ideas on what to give them for snacks due to the age difference I can only give them certain things that they can both eat. SOooo I did what I wanted and gave them peas. Yep I feed my children peas like I would feed them popcorn and they loved it. These were frozen sweet peas that I covered with water and microwaved for three min. cooled them down and then in a blink of an eye they were gone. The kids devoured them like candy and then wanted more. Hmmm quick, easy, and good for them, add to that no begging at dinner time to get them to eat veggies and we have a winner!!

Glenys likes them that way too. Try edamame. That is soy beans. Glenys loves it. You can get them frozen in the shell, boil them for about 3 minutes drain and through sea salt on it and then let them dip in soy sauce. I peel them for Glenys but she has learned how to get them out of the shell herself.

Emily has always loved peas. I'm pretty sure that she's the only kid that takes peas to school in her lunchbox! I second edamame. We love it and Emi takes that in her lunch too. You can get them frozen in individual microwave bowls at Sam's Club.

That is incredible! I try to think back if my mom had tried to give me peas for a snack how I would react.

Will definitely have to try that with Avery!
